I don’t know much about starting a business in Panama. You will need to check on what it takes to become a resident in Panama. In Panama they love tourists, and they love people coming to retire. But they don’t want a bunch of Gringos moving here and taking jobs away from their citizens.
You get 3-6 months on a tourist vise depending on who you ask and what mood they are in. So come down and check out before you make any huge life decisions. The red tape you will likely encounter could have you wishing for home in a hurry.
If you haven’t already seen it this is the nightmare I went through just to buy a motorcycle. Obtaining residency, and getting a business license will likely be worse.
