I’ve got to give credit to my basic training drill SGT for this joke. I was there in the winter and a lot of privates were getting sick, and requesting sick call trips. One morning he lined us up and explained, “There are 2 ways to fix privates. If it hurts from the waist up drink water. If it hurts from the waist down use some foot powder.” Drill SGT Pipkin is the sort of sadist that would hunt a man down throat chop him, then skull drag him up and down the parade yard for stealing a joke. So credit is due.
