So this is my YouTube channel. I live in Panama, go on adventures, and film stuff. I ride a KLR650 and sometimes take it to some really amazing/crazy/hard to get to places. If you haven’t already I hope you will subscribe http://bit.ly/nwveuE and check back often. I might be reviewing a new product, or showing you how to install a gadget. And there is always another epic adventure around the corner.
Welcome to HalfThrottle. I hope you’ll enjoy the show.
I’ve been wanting a short video that introduces new viewers to my channel that I could leave on the homepage. I know my way around Adobe After Effects well enough, but can’t take credit for making this. For this video I used a template from http://videohive.net/ Specifically this one: http://bit.ly/ooxMav It’s a very handy site.
Wheel Nerds Interview HalfThrottle
Hey guys not too many videos lately but I have been doing some other Halfthrottley stuff. Recently I met up with Chuck and Todd a couple of motorheads with a weekly podcast about motorcycles. They had stumbled across my Harley Davidson Commercial and invited me to be on the show. Originally we planned to do the interview via Skype, but when they found out I would be in Utah we thought it would be more fun if I could do it in person. So I went over and we had a chat about everything halfthrottle. Old adventures, and new it was a lot of fun to talk with them.
So check out the podcast called, So Many Bananas and this is the link to their page with the interview on it along with some of the videos we talk about. I had a great time and hope to come back and chat again someday.
As I was editing today I noticed I was beginning to collect a lot of clips of me running to and from the camera. In full gear 90 degree heat, 70% humidity this is not a fun processes.
I don’t have any problem making fun of myself, so when I saw a fat guy in motorcycle jacket, helmet and swimming trunks running through the jungle I knew I had to share.
New HalfThrottle playlists to keep things organized
I’ve put together some new playlist’s to sort out all the different types of videos I make. Some are thoughtfully made with nice soundtracks that I spend a lot of time on. Others are hastily thrown together vlogs about events happening at the moment. I wanted to have a way for views to easily find the type of video they are looking for.
All of these playlist’s will continually update as I post more videos that fit into that style of video.
This playlist contains the highly polished cinematic videos I make about my KLR650 and the rides I take around Panama.
Usually just me in front of the camera explaining what is going on. Sometimes when I make a higher quality video that only has a soundtrack I will make an accompanying vlog to explain a little more about it.
Switch on helmet cam. Insert microphone. Probably be in for a lot of strange rambling in these types of videos. Jokes, rants, near misses, etc. See what I see, hear what I think.
The Best of HalfThrottle
Since I’ve been posting videos more often I’ve been getting a lot of new subscribers. There are 126 total videos in my account right now, and that can be pretty overwhelming for a new sub. So with that in mind I put together a playlist of 10 videos I think best describe my channel. They are some of my favorite videos, and will give you a good idea of what to expect from the HalfThrottle channel in the future.
This is a little teaser video introducing my upcoming trips around Panama. I used After Effects to make most of the video. I sort of had to because I only recently had a motorcycle to film, and I wanted to be doing something productive.
I wanted to put some music in this video, but after searching for hours couldn’t really find anything that fit. Go ahead, try to find an audio track that is royalty free, and doesn’t suck. I’m always on the lookout for songs that can be used as soundtracks in my videos. If you are a musician and looking to get some exposure for your band please contact me at halfthrottle.com@gmail.com I’ll take a listen to your music and see if I can work it into one of my projects.
